We're Hiring!

We are looking for a Senior Innovation Lead to join the Good Innovation team.

Who you are

You’re an experienced innovation practitioner with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for working with purpose-led organisations. You’ll probably have 8-10 years experience either consulting or client side and ideally you will have worked in the ‘doing good’ space.

You’ll have end-to-end innovation experience and combine strong strategic thinking with commercial know-how. In addition, you’re a true ‘people person’ and you’re at your best when working collaboratively with colleagues, clients and audiences.

You’re passionate about innovation because you love to see the lasting impact of your work and you’ll have a track record of your innovations successfully reaching the market. You’re now looking to join a company that gives you the opportunity to continue to grow your expertise in innovation while enabling you to make the world a little bit better.

What you’ll do

You’ll lead the delivery of a wide range of large scale projects for our most important clients. You’ll be confident designing new approaches to complex briefs and as project lead, you’ll be comfortable leading independently, with minimal support. In addition you’ll be expected to manage diverse teams of both internal GI Consultants and external partners (for example, a delivery team of designers and developers).

You’ll build strong relationships with senior clients and be seen as a trusted peer and expert by senior stakeholders. You’ll build a powerful network of like minded individuals who you’ll nurture and reach out to for support and collaboration.

You’ll be responsible for stretching our existing methodologies and introducing new ones across the portfolio of work we deliver. You’ll challenge our existing processes and inspire the team to think differently. You’ll play an important role in stretching our collective thinking and raising the bar on the quality of our work.

You’ll also take a leadership role within the team, taking on line management responsibilities and leading wider team training and development initiatives. Internally, you’ll introduce new ways to drive us to continuously live by our values and externally, you’ll represent GI out in the world.

You’ll take a lead role in sales, from delivering key account plans through to leading specific sales opportunities with support from Directors and Partners.

What you’re great at

Our projects range from supporting charities to develop and deliver new innovative fundraising propositions, through to partnering with purpose-led organisations to build and scale new commercial ventures. As a Senior Innovation Lead you’ll have mastered the skills required to successfully deliver a diverse portfolio of projects.

You’ll have the ability to build powerful propositions, ranging from the creation of initial early stage concepts through to paper prototypes, MVPs and pilots.

You’ll be a skilled storyteller, capable of expertly leading presentations and debriefs with senior and c-suite level audiences. You won’t rely solely on PowerPoint and will have experience delighting clients/sponsors with creative storytelling techniques.

You’ll be a brilliant facilitator, with the ability to manage senior client workshops by employing a range of facilitation tools and techniques. You’ll be comfortable and experienced co-creating directly with audiences/users

You’ll be able to confidently analyse and synthesise insights from multiple sources. You’ll be experienced at leading large scale synthesis in collaboration with clients and you’ll be able to translate a large number of data-points into succinct themes and implications.

You’ll have a strong commercial acumen with an ability to piece together detailed financial models and lead large scale and complex market and opportunity sizing

Introduction to Good Innovation

We partner with purpose-led organisations to create, test and incubate new ways to deliver both mission and money. We’re part innovation consultancy, part start-up builder and part venture studio. As a result we’re an eclectic team of purpose-led innovators, entrepreneurs, designers, researchers and developers and we’re looking for an experienced, passionate and highly skilled Senior Innovation Lead to join our growing team.

Our values drive everything we do at Good Innovation. If our values resonate with who you are, what you believe and how you typically like to work, then we may be a great fit for you.

Agitate For Change: We constantly look for new ways to do things better. We’re frustrated with the status quo, and feel compelled to continuously challenge ourselves and those around is to be brave and bold.

Only Accept Awesome: We know we’re only as good as our last output. We always produce work of the highest quality. We set and constantly raise our own bar so our clients are always blown away by the work we do.

Obsess Over Impact: We don’t tick boxes, we make shit happen. We always want the work we do to drive big and lasting change. We know that innovation is nothing without follow-through and it’s often the small dents we make that combine to drive the biggest impact.

Work & Win Together: We’ll only make the world a little bit better if we work together. We’re a people business first. We find and nurture relationships with people that share our vision and values and actively reject assholes. We know how to rally others to drive change but we listen as well as lead. We know what it means to be collaborative and facilitate fun and productive working relationships that bring the best out in people.
